Hi, am still alive for those of you I don't have on facebook!
Currently doing some volunteer teaching in MRSM Jeli, Malaysia, and there's a little blog about it at malaysianadventures.wordpress.com so please do have a look at it!
Some sneaky info about the next entry - cutest student quote ever, along with one of the most inappropriately funny students, ideas for things to do with the kids, Anouk and I bought rabbits, and what happens when you say no to Malaysians offering to drive you everywhere.
To those of you reading, enjoy! Feel free to comment or message with any questions

Help me teach in a disadvantaged community? Please
Had to triple check the title to make sure I hadn't typo'd "gay year" again. It's unbelievably awkward when that happens...
But yes! After a gruelling week of getting myself to a Hebridean island and back, digging, walking up hills, giving lessons and presentations, and discovering I have a mild phobia of sheep, Project Trust have deemed me suitable to teach abroad for eight months in a disadvantaged community :D
Sooo, it's kinda like unis the way it works. I've got three options, Malaysia, Rwanda and Togo and they are prioritised in that order. In short I'm still praying for Rwanda but it's not an official project yet so they can't put it
Life and exams. Mostly exams.
With every exam it seems I'm getting one step closer to becoming a photographer rather than a physicist. Pretty much a win win situation if I'm honest. Though physics would be fun, especially if I got to play with lasers.
Yup, the small child in me definitely prefers physics.
That aside, just bought my tickets for Japan Expo, so just need to convince the person directing the music tour that yes, along with a week's worth of clothes and a baritone sax I really do need to take yet another suitcase with my cosplay in and it's completely safe for them to drop me somewhere in the north of France to make my own way to Paris.
So cosplays! Obvious
Bullying
I don't get it. I don't get why people enjoy doing it.
Have human kind become so twisted that it's okay to enjoy others' pain when they've done nothing wrong to you, and to inflict that pain in the first place?
I get that I put myself in a position to be bullied by not fitting the norm; I experiment with my appearance, I'm a girl who does sport, I'll argue for what I believe in etc.
Except now, and part of me hates myself for it, I've been trying to fit in. I lost weight and they still call me fat. I wear more make up and they still call me ugly. I cut down on sport yet I'm still 'butch'.
And worse, I fucking grew out my hair and dyed it
Off to Paris!
Music Tour = Five days with my best friends, playing saxophone, partly in Disney Land, accompanied by my SLR and a stack of physic books. Will be the best weekend ever :3
